The fans are obviously really looking forward to the first competition of the 4-Hills-Tournament in Oberstdorf (GER). The tickets for competition on 30th December are already sold-out, there are still tickets available for the qualification a day earlier.

"This is really amazing. The new season just started last weekend and we already know now that the Ski Jumping Arena here will be full again and 25,000 fans will watch the athletes compete. It has been a long time since the tickets for the opening competition sold-out faster than this year", siad Dr. Peter Kruijer, chairman of the Ski Club Oberstdorf and head of the organizing committee.

For him and Florian Stern, CEO of the "Skisport- und Veranstaltungs GmbH", the run for the tickets doesn't come as a surprise. "We have been telling the fans for years now that they should get their tickets as soon as possible. And of course, we are happy to see that the hype for tickets in Oberstdorf is not the exception, but has almost become the rule", explains Stern.

Stern and Dr. Kruijer also expect that a lot of people will come to see the qualification on December 29th. Last year 14 400 fans attended this event in the Ski Jumping Arena. "Many World Cup venues would be happy to have such a big crowd at their competitions", says Dr. Kruijer and suggests families with children and seniors to come on Saturday to watch the qualification. "The atmosphere is already great for the qualification in Oberstdorf, but still it's a bit calmer when there are a few thousand people less than on the day of the competition."

Further information and tickets for all the venues are available at www.vierschanzentournee.com
