Andreas Felder is satisfied with his team
Oct 08, 2018·Ski JumpingAndreas Felder, who is the head coach of the Austrian Ski Jumping national team since this spring, is satisfied with the performances of his athletes this summer.
"I'm actually very satisfied with the job the team has done up to now. During the course of the summer competitions, it was obvious that we were constantly improving and that we were able to catch up with the better teams. On the large hill we still have some work to do", said the 56-year-old Tyrolean.
The coach will probably be especially happy about the results of Daniel Huber. The 25-year-old took his first ever win in the FIS Grand Prix in Hinzenbach (AUT), stood on the podium a total of three times and as the fifth of the overall ranking, he was one of the rising stars of this summer. The rest of the team also showed an upward trend in the home competition in Hinzenbach with four athletes in the Top 10.
Before the preparation for the winter enters its final stage, the Austrians will hold their national championships later this week. Andreas Felder plans to name his team for the World Cup opening mid-November in Wisla (POL) already after the competitions on the normal and large hill in Hinzenbach and Bischofshofen.
