Together with Kazakhstan's capital Astana Almaty was hosting the Asian Winter Games in 2011 and therefore the old Goreny Gigant ski jump was replaced by a modern ski jumping facility with two new ski jumping hills K125 and K95. Construction works began in fall 2007 and the new hills could be inaugurated in September 2010. The new jumps are equipped with spectator stands for around 10,000 people and a lift.

In 2013 beside the two competition hills K125 and K95 three junior hills K60, K40 and K20 could be completed. All hills of “Sunkar International Ski Jumping Complex” are equipped with plastic mattings and hosting Grand Prix events in summer.
