After her win on Saturday, Daniela Iraschko-Stolz showed another strong performance in the second competition of the Continental Cup in Planica and took her second clear win in a row after a long break due to injury.

The 34-year-old former World Champion from Austria jumped on 94.5 m and 96 m on the normal hill in the Planica Nordic Center and won the second event of the weekend with 224.0 points. "The conditions were really difficult today. I tried to show better jumps than yesterday, but when I want to show more I make mistakes. The second jump was better again. Next week I will be competing in the World Cup in Ljubno", said the winner.

Russia's Aleksandra Barantceva could repeat her second place from Saturday with 89m and 90 m and a total of 202.0 points. "My first jump was not very good because of the tail wind. The second jump was much better, also because the wind helped me. That's why I can be satisfied with today's competition", said Barantceva.

The third place went to Slovenia's Jerneja Brecl, who scored 201.0 points with her jumps of 91 m and 87 m. This means that the exact same athletes finished on the podium in both competitions in Planica. "My second jump today was really not good, I don't know why. I made a mistake already in the inrun. Now I'm looking forward to Ljubno, there I want to score some World Cup points", said Jerneja Brecl.

Anna Shpyneva and Lidiia Iakovleva confirmed the very good shape of the young Russian team this winter in fourth and fifth. Josephine Pagnier of France improved after the 15th place on Saturday and came in on a good sixth place.

Katra Komar of Slovenia achieved a career-best result yesterday in seventh and repeated this very good result on Sunday. The eighth place went to Germany's Seline Freitag, who has never been that good in a COC before. Behind her, Austria's Elisabeth Raudaschl and Kamila Karpiel of Poland tied for ninth.

After this weekend, Aleksandra Barantceva leads the overall ranking of the COC with 310 points, followed by Lidiia Iakovleva (275 points) and Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (200 points).

The final two competitions of the Ladies Continental Cup this season will take place on February 17th and 18th in Brotterode (GER).
