Only a few hours after the first competition of the day, the ski jumpers had to return to the hill again at the Continental Cup in Erzurum (TUR). The second event there on Saturday afternoon became a duel between Slovenia and Norway.

At the end of the long day, Anze Lanisek, who was fourth this morning, came out on top. The Slovene was second and the first round with his jump of 132.5 m and took the win with the longest jump of the competition of 140 m and 288.2 points. The 21-year-old stood on top of the podium in the COC for the eighth time already.

Marius Lindvik was the best in the first round with 136 m. In the final round, the Norwegian jumped on 135 m and scored a total of 282.9 points. With this performance, he came in second and was even one place better than in today's first competition.

Slovenia's Tomaz Naglic could clearly improve his 16th place from earlier today and finished third with two jumps of 134 m and 274.3 points. This was his first podium result since February 2016.

With Tom Hilde, the fourth place went to another Norwegian, followed by the third-best Slovene, Nejc Dezman, in fifth.

Best athlete, who is not from Slovenia or Norway, was the winner of the first competition, David Siegel of Germany. With a very strong jump of 137 m in the final, he could move up from 17th to sixth overall. His teammate Andreas Wank was eighth, right behind Jonathan Learoyd of France (7th).

Aleksander Zniszczol was the best Polish jumper in ninth, the tenth place went to Bor Pavlovcic of Slovenia.
