COC: Clemens Aigner makes it three in a row

The 2016/17 season of the Continental Cup enters its final stretch. Before the final will be held next week in Russia, the fight for wins and points is
continuing this weekend in the Polish Ski Jumping mecca of Zakopane.
Under changing wind conditions with more or less head wind on the Wielka Krokiew, Austria's Clemens Aigner could prolong his winning streak on Saturday. The 24-year-old showed jumps of 131 m and 133 m and took a clear win, his third in a row, with 255.9 points.
Only 17-year-old German Constantin Schmid had the longest jump of the day in the first round with 135 m. With 125 m in the final and a total of 234.0 points the bronze medalist of this year's Junior World Championships finished second and achieved the best result of his career in the COC.
The third place went to Maximilian Steiner of Austria, who was on the podium for the first time this season with 128 m and 126.5 m and 230.0 points. Steiner's teammate Daniel Huber was fourth and missed the Top 3 by only 0.6 points.
Felix Hoffmann of Germany finished fifth on the HS 134, the best Slovene, Cene Prevc, came in sixth. Stefan Huber moved up from 19th to seventh with a great final jump of 132 m and was the third Austrian among the best ten today.
The best results for the hosting team of Poland were achieved by Jakub Wolny and Aleksander Zniszczol in eighth and ninth.
With his fifth win this season and now 931 points, Clemens Aigner took the lead in the overall ranking of the Continental Cup. He is followed by Nejc Dezman (862 points) and Miran Zupancic (854 points).
