Because no competition could be held at the Continental Cup in Erzurum (TUR) on Friday due to the bad weather conditions, two events will be held on the HS 140 there on Saturday.

In the first competition in the morning, Germany's David Siegel finished on top. The former Junior World Champion from Baiersbronn showed jumps of 138 m and 144 m and took his third win this winter with a total of 268.6 points.

Jonathan Learoyd of France had a close lead over the German after the first round with his jump of 137 m, with 138.5 m the only 17-year-old could then not keep up with Siegel in the final but with 259.8 points he came in on the very good second place and secured his third podium finish in this COC season.

Young Norwegian Marius Lindvik is showing extremely consistent performances this winter, so far he was in the Top 5 in all but two competitions and this streak continued in Erzurum. With 133.5 m and 140.5 m and 257.2 points, he came in third.

Anze Lanisek was the best Slovene in fourth, Bor Pavlovcic and Nejc Dezman in sixth and seventh provided yet another strong team result for the athletes of Slovenia. Andreas Wank was the second-best German in fifth.

The Polish jumpers could also show a close performance in this competition. Aleksander Zniszczol, Krzysztof Leja, Klemens Muranka and Przemyslaw Kantyka came in on the place eight to eleven.

Tomasz Pilch of Poland, who is not competing in Erzurum, defended his overall lead in the Continental Cup with 492 points. Marius Lindvik is second with 476 points, Jonathan Learoyd is third with 450 points.

The second competition in Erzurum will be held this afternoon at 3 pm CET.
