COC: Juliane Seyfarth unbeatable again

Juliane Seyfarth was the outstanding ski jumper at the Ladies Continental Cup in Trondheim (NOR). The German was already clearly the best on Friday, and on Saturday she was even further ahead of the competition.

The 27-year-old showed the best performance in both rounds on the HS 100 with 97.5 m and 95 m and took her second win this weekend with a total of 267.8 points.

Almost 30 points behind the winner, Lidiia Iakovleva finished second and achieved the best result for her career so far. The 16-year-old Russian jumped on 91 m and 89.5 m and scored 239.9 points.

The third place went to Thea Sofie Kleven, who secured a podium result for the home team of Norway with her jumps of 95 m and 89 m and 237.7 points.

With Anniken Mork, the fourth place in this competition also went to the Norwegians. Susanna Forsstroem of Finland came in fifth, behind her, Kamila Karpiel (6th) and Anna Twardosz (7th) provided a very good result for the Polish team.

Behind Ramona Straub of Germany in ninth, Aleksandra Barantceva, who was second in Friday's competition, Mariia Iakovleva and Anna Shpyneva confirmed the positive development of the young Russian athletes.

Kamila Karpiel of Poland won the overall ranking of the Continental Cup in summer 2017. The only 15-year-old ski jumper from Zakopane was on the podium in three of the four competitions and scored 280 points. The second and third place went to the two Germans Ramona Straub (262 points) and Juliane Seyfarth (200 points).
