COC-M: Manuel Fettner ahead again

After his win on Saturday, Manuel Fettner finished on top of the podium also in the second competition of the Continental Cup weekend in Zakopane (POL).

The 32-year-old veteran was fourth after the first round with 136.5 m, in the final the Austrian then posted the longest jump of the day with 138 m and secured his second win in a row with 268.9 points. "Honestly, I didn't think that I would be able to get in a good shape again that fast. I'm very happy and satisfied that I could do it", said Manuel Fettner.

Bor Pavlovcic of Slovenia could repeat his second place from the day before with jumps of 132.5 m and 133.5 m and a total of 264.3 points and can also be satisfied with this, for him, very successful weekend in Poland. "I made some progress in training in Planica, I just tried to do the same jumps here and it went really well. I will compete in the final in Planica and I can't wait", said Bor Pavlovcic.

With Stefan Huber, who was in the lead after the first round and came in third overall, another athlete from Austria finished on the podium today. The jumper from Salzburg scored 261.2 points with 136 m and 131 m. "I really like the hill and the fact that there are so many fans here also for FIS Cups and COCs. It's a nice place to jump", said Stefan Huber.

Felix Hoffmann of Germany showed consistently strong performances on both days in Zakopane, but like already on Saturday he had to be satisfied with the fourth place today. In both competitions this weekend he missed his first podium finish of the season by only a few points.

Moritz Baer in sixth and Pius Paschke in ninth provided a very good result for the German team.

The fifth place went to Slovenia's Tomaz Naglic, Manuel Poppinger and Ulrich Wohlgenannt were seventh and eighth and completed the next strong result of the Austrians.

The best of the Polish team, Pawel Wasek, and the best Norwegian, Fredrik Bjerkeengen, tied for tenth.

Before the final two competitions of the season next weekend in Chaikovsky (RUS), Marius Lindvik of Norway leads the overall ranking with 1102 points. Andreas Wank (1040 points) and David Siegel (968 points) follow in second and third.
