Like on Saturday, Stefan Kraft and Daniel Huber were also the two best jumpers at the Continental Cup in Stams (AUT) on Sunday. They took the next double victory for Austria, but this time in a reversed order.

Daniel Huber, yesterday second behind his teammate, secured his second win in the Continental Cup with jumps of 115 m and 113.5 m and a total of 259.7 points. "I'm very happy about this result and my jumps. It's incredible that it was enough to stand on top of the podium today. The conditions were very fair, the rain was not a problem," said the happy winner.

Overall World Cup winner Stefan Kraft came in second this time, close behind the winner, with 114.5 m and 113.5 m and 258.5 points. Thomas Lackner (6th), Manuel Poppinger (9th) and Manuel Fettner (10th) completed the very good team result for the Austrians. The weekend in front of the home crowd couldn't have gone much better for the local heroes.

Stefan Kraft was satisfied with his performance this weekend and also praised his teammate after today's competition: "My second jump was really good and I thought I could win again, but Daniel also jumped very well again. It's great that one of my best friends is jumping on such a high level. In general, the level in the COC is very high, you can't make any mistakes."

Vincent Descombes Sevoie of France, who closely missed the podium in fourth on Saturday, did even better today and finished third with 114.5 m and 112 m (253.6 points). "Before this weekend I didn't know where I stand. That's why I'm surprised about this result and that I was able to keep up with the best Austrians. So far this hill didn't really suit me well, but if the technique is good you can jump well on any hill," he said.

Germany's Pius Paschke could also improve his ninth place from the first competition and came in fourth. Tilen Bartol of Slovenia, in the lead ahead of Paschke and Huber after the first round, had a mediocre second jump and was fifth at the end, only 2.1 points behind the Top 3 in this close competition.

Klemens Muranka was seventh and again the best jumper of the Polish team, Constantin Schmid of Germany confirmed his good shape in eighth today.

After his 21st place on Saturday, Gregor Schlierenzauer could improve his result to 17th, but he probably aimed a lot higher than that. Michael Hayboeck was 20th and could also not live up to the expectations. Richard Freitag was 11th after the first round, in the final he then lost some ground and finished 23rd.

Klemens Muranka remains in the lead of the overall ranking with his total of 482 points. Miran Zupancic (322 points) and Pius Paschke (200 points) follow in second and third.

The next Continental Cup competitions will be held on September 16th and 17th in Trondheim (NOR).
