Maren Lundby (NOR), Sara Takanashi and Yuki Ito (JPN), Carina Vogt and Katharina Althaus (GER), Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT) and Nika Kriznar (SLO). If the conditions are fair, one of these ladies will stand on top of the podium in tomorrow's ladies' competition in PyeongChang. Like in the two previous sessions, all of these favorites had some strong jumps also in the third official training.

The third and final training of the ladies was held on Sunday evening in ice-cold temperatures that felt like -25°C and with difficult wind conditions. Today's conditions were a perfect preparation for the competition on Monday evening at 9:50 pm (1:50 pm CET), where similar conditions are forecasted. That was probably also the reason why all the ladies were taking part in this training.

Compared to the first two training sessions, defending champion Carina Vogt of Germany and the new Junior World Champion Nika Kriznar of Slovenia could significantly improve their level of performance. Both can now definitely be considered top contenders for the event.

Lundby fell in second round

Top favorite Maren Lundby crashed after the landing of her second jump. The 23-year-old got up immediately and it seemed she didn't sustain any injuries.  Lundby, Vogt, Takanashi, and Kriznar then skipped the final jump today.

"I'm very satisfied now because I found the right equipment and could adjust to the hill. Now I can start the competition tomorrow with self-confidence and I'm looking forward to it", explained Carina Vogt, who is aiming to defend her title from 2014.

Katharina Althaus, who also has a chance to take home a medal said: "My first two jumps today were not perfect, in the third round I could show what I'm capable of again. That's a good way to start the competition tomorrow."
