Final Ski Jumping gold in Park City to Slovenia

The Ski Jumping events of the FIS Nordic Junior World Championships in Park City (USA) concluded on Sunday afternoon with the mixed team competition.
And just like in the men's team competition two days ago, the final gold medal of the Championships went to the athletes of Slovenia. Nika Kriznar, Tilen Bartol, Ema Klinec and Ziga Jelar took a clear win with 925.3 points. This means that the two ladies Nika Kriznar and Ema Klinec stood on the podium in all three competitions (individual, team and mixed). Tilen Bartol and Ziga Jelar won gold medals in both team competitions.
"If I would have to choose which medal is the most important I’d say it’s the one in the Individual competition. However, today’s gold medal also means a lot because today I was able to show my very best jumps here in Park City. It was very important for us to defend that title. It’s so hard to get on top, but in my opinion it’s even harder to stay there", Ema Klinec, who was also on the winning mixed team last year in Rasnov, said after today's success.
The silver medal on the normal hill in the Utah Olympic Park went to Germany, with Agnes Reisch, Martin Hamann, Gianina Ernst and Constantin Schmid. Agnes Reisch and Gianina Ernst had already won gold in the ladies' team competition at this JWC, Constantin Schmid was third in the men's individual event.
Japan (Minami Watanabe, Masamitsu Ito, Fumika Segawa, Yuken Iwasa) came out on top of the fight for the third spot on the podium with 840.5 points. "I had some problems with the timing in both of my jumps, but the boys did a very good job and so we were able to take the bronze medal. This is a huge success for us", Minami Watanabe said afterwards.
With 832.7 points the team of Norway (Silje Opseth, Marius Lindvik, Anna Odine Stroem, Fredrik Villumstad) closely missed the podium and came in fourth, only 0.1 point ahead of Italy (Lara Malsiner, Giovanni Bresadola, Manuela Malsiner, Alex Insam).
Austria (6th), Poland (7th) and the Czech Republic (8th) also qualified for the second round. Russia, Romania, Canada and the USA failed to make the cut for the final.
