Veteran Vincent Descombes Sevoie is not on one of the official teams for the 2018/19 season announced by the French Ski Association on Friday.

After a good 2016/17 season, the 34-year-old was struggling with his shape this past winter and did not take part in any international competition since the Olympic Games in PyeongChang in February. His best World Cup result last season was the 27th place in Nizhny Tagil in December.

Besides Vincent Descombes Sevoie, also Ronan Lamy Chappuis is missing on the teams for next season. The 24-year-old could not compete in the past months due to a back injury.

None of the other male athletes made the A-team. Only 17-year-old Jonathan Learoyd, who attracted some attention with good performances in the World Cup last winter, Paul Brasme and Thomas Roch-Dupland are on the B-team. This group will be coached by former Nordic Combined athlete Nicolas Bal.

The juniors team, which will be coached by Nicolas Dessum, consists of Mathis Contamine and Alessandro Batby.

With Lea Lemare and Lucile Morat, two athletes were named to the ladies' A-team of coach Damien Maitre. Oceane Avocat Gros, Julia Clair, Romane Dieu, Josephine Pagnier and Oceane Paillard are on the ladies' B-team.
