Golden Eagle for Dirk Thiele and Gerd Siegmund

Special honor for the former Eurosport commentators Dirk Thiele and Gerd Siegmund. The organizers of the 4-Hills-Tournament presented them with the first ever Golden Eagle award at the official 4-Hills reception in Innsbruck.

"We recognize your passion, your journalistic qualify and your great work in the past years", Ingo Jensen, spokesman of the 4-Hills-Tournament, said in his speech.

Dirk Thiele was commentating the Ski Jumping World Cup and the 4-Hills-Tournament on Eurosport for more than 24 years, in the past 13 years he did this together with former ski jumper Gerd Siegmund.

At the beginning of this season both were replaced by Matthias Bielek and former 4-Hills-Tournament winner Sven Hannawald.
