The organizers of the 66th 4-Hills-Tournament can give the green light for the event already two weeks before the opener in Oberstdorf. There's enough snow to prepare the hills at all four venues.

"The cold temperatures in the past weeks helped us a lot. We were able to produce snow several days and nights in a row and now we are absolutely on the safe side. We haven't had this much snow for a long time", said Michael Maurer, head of the organizing committee in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Oberstdorf, where the 4-Hills-Tournament starts with the qualification on December 29th, is also ready for this season's first big highlight. "About three weeks ago we could start the snow cannons, the rest of the amount was produced over the last couple of days and nights. We are perfectly prepared and are looking forward to a great 4-Hills opener", explained Florian Stern, CEO of the "Skisport- und Veranstaltungs GmbH" in Oberstdorf.

The preparation of the Bergisel-hill in Innsbruck shall start on December 20th and there will also be no problems caused by a lack of snow for the final event in Bischofshofen on January 6th. "We would even be able to give away some of the snow", joked Hannes Pichler, president of the ski club in Bischofshofen.
