Only two weeks after his crash during the Ski Flying World Cup in Oberstdorf (GER), Gregor Schlierenzauer is now fit again and will be able to participate in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, which start this week with the competitions on the normal hill.

Following an intense physical training on Saturday, the 27-year-old Austrian starting with jumping training again on Sunday and Monday in Seefeld and Tschagguns. After these training sessions it was decided that he will travel to Finland together with the Austrian team on Tuesday.

"It wouldn't have been possible to return so soon with the perfect support I got. I now want to thank everyone for this. It was no miracle, it was hard work and the luck, that I didn't suffer any severe injuries. The training yesterday and especially today in Seefeld went very well and so it's within reach for me to compete in the WSC. We will see everything else during the training sessions in Lahti. I'm definitely looking forward to participating in Lahti", said the Tyrolean.
