Jarkko Maeaettae wins Finnish nationals

While the World Cup opening is held this weekend in Wisla (POL), the Finnish normal hill nationals took place in Rovaniemi on Saturday.

In absence of the four World Cup competitors Janne Ahonen, Ville Larinto, Andreas Alamommo and Antti Aalto, Jarkko Maeaettae won the title with the best jumps in both rounds of 96 m and 102 m and 268.5 points.

The second place went to Eetu Nousiainen with 95 m and 99 m and 259.5 points. Juho Ojala took the third spot on the podium with 93.5 m and 99.5 m and a total of 256.5 points.

Austria's Martin Fritz was fourth in this competition, Niko Kytoesaho and Janne Korhonen tied for fifth, followed by Lauri Asikainen in seventh.
