JWSC: Norway with the best mixed team

Norway could claim yet another gold medal in the final Ski Jumping competition at the Junior World Championships in Kandersteg (SUI).

Silje Opseth, Fredrik Villumstad, Anna Odine Stroem and Marius Lindvik won the competition on Sunday with a total of 869.3 points. With 103 m in the first round and the longest jump of the day of 106.5 m in the final, Marius Lindvik was again the best athlete. For the 19-year-old this was the second gold medal in Kandersteg, after he had already won the individual title. In addition, he also took bronze with the team.

The second place went to the team of Germany, with Luisa Goerlich, Justin Lisso, Gianina Ernst and Constantin Schmid, who scored 855.0 points. With the silver medal in the men's individual competition by Constantin Schmid, gold in the men's team event and silver with the mixed team, the German Ski Association can be very satisfied with the performance of the athletes at these Championships.

Clearly behind the Top 2 team, the Austrians came in third today. Claudia Purker, Jan Hoerl, Sophie Mair and Clemens Leitner won bronze with 775.8 points. This was the third medal for the Austrian ski jumpers in Kandersteg after Clemens Leitner won bronze in the men's individual competition and the silver medal of the men's team.

France and Slovenia were ahead of Austria after the first round of this mixed team competition, at the end they came in fourth and fifth. Russia, Japan, and Poland followed on the places six to eight.
