Katharina Althaus best in qualification

Katharina Althaus from Germany won the qualification for the first Individual competition of the FIS World Cup Ladies Ski Jumping in Ljubno (SLO).

With 89,0 meters and 115,7 points, she stayed ahead of Sara Takanashi JPN and Daniela Iraschko-Stolz AUT. Takanashi jumped 90,0 meters and got 113,9 points. Iraschko-Stolz 91,0 meters and 107,7 points.

Klinec best Slovenian
Local hero Ema Klinec took 4th place with 106,3 points. Chiara Hoelzl of Austria came in 5th with 104,6 points ahead of Slovenian Nika Kriznar and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger. Slovenian's Spela Rogelj finished 8th, Alexandra Kustova RUS 9th and Carina Vogt GER 10th.
Slovenia and Austria both had three athletes in top ten.

World Cup overall top 5
Top 5 athletes jumped the qualification one gate and current World Cup leader Maren Lundby two gates lower. Irina Avvakumova from Russia came in 11th ahead of her teammate Anastasiya Barannikova. Maren Lundby and Yuki Ito shared 13th place.

Slovenians qualify eight athletes
Eight host country athletes passed the qualification for the weekend's first competition.

The first competition in Ljubno will start on Saturday at 14:00 (CET).
