Katharina Althaus wins German nationals

The German national championships in ladies Ski Jumping were held on the HS 106 hill in Oberstdorf on Saturday.

Local hero Katharina Althaus showed the best performance in both rounds with her jumps of 92 m and 99.5 m and clearly won the title with a total of 236.4 points.

Svenja Wuerth and Juliane Seyfarth fought for the second place today. At the end, Svenja Wuerth scored 223.7 points with 92.5 m and 95 m and came in close ahead of Juliane Seyfarth, who jumped on 92 m and 95.5 m (222.7 points).

World and Olympic Champion Carina Vogt finished fourth, but she was already almost 20 points behind the Top 3 of the day. Ramona Straub and Gianina Ernst followed in fifth and sixth.
