Maren Lundby dominates training in Holmenkollen

Maren Lundby of Norway won all three training rounds and proved that is she is a top favourite for tomorrow´s competition. Despite jumping from a lower gate in the first and second round, the Norwegian was unbeatable and posted longest jumps in all rounds.

Maren landed on 126,5 m in the first training and beat Sara Takanashi (124 m) and Yuki Ito (120,5 m). Katharina Althaus was number four with a jump on 114 m.

In the second round, she was also best with 122 m. Yuki Ito of Japan (121 m) and Katharina Althaus (122 m) followed back. Sara Takanashi didn´t cross the 120-meter line (118 m) and was fourth this time.

Lundby jumped on 121,5 m in the last training round and was again best. Yuki Ito came on the second place with 119 m and Katharina Althaus was again number three. Chiara Hoelzl was best Austrian (117 m) on a 4th place. Sara Takanashi jumped only 112,5 m and came on th 5th place back Nika Kriznar of Slovenia (116,5 m).

The individual competition starts at 10:15 am (CET) on Sunday. Trial round starts at 9:30.
