Michael Hayboeck, who sustained an ankle injury a couple of weeks ago, was able to make his first jumps again on Wednesday in Innsbruck.

This means that the Austrian will be competing in the Ski Jumping World Cup opener in Wisla (POL) next week.

"I had a certain respect when I went up the hill again and I'm very happy, that I could make three jumps. Right from the start, it was my goal to participate in Wisla. The mobility is still limited, but there's still some time left", Michael Hayboeck is quoted on oesv.at.

His teammate Stefan Kraft, the highflyer of last season, considers himself well prepared for the winter season, but he also keeps an eye on the competition. "I think that I made good progress during the preparation period. But there's a lot of competition, internationally and within our team."

Besides Michael Hayboeck and Stefan Kraft, Clemens Aigner, Manuel Fettner, Daniel Huber, Manuel Poppinger and Markus Schiffner will represent Austria in Wisla.
