A total of seven athletes (six men and one woman) were named to the Ski Jumping World Cup teams of the Norwegian Ski Association for the upcoming Olympic season.

The team of head coach Alexander Stoeckl consists of Daniel Andre Tande, in third of the overall World Cup the best Norwegian last season, Robert Johansson, Johann Andre Forfang, Anders Fannemel, Andreas Stjernen and Kenneth Gangnes, who missed the entire last season due to a serious knee injury.

"The decision was pretty clear. The coaches agreed that these six jumpers will get the World Cup status. Once again it was nice to see that, with Robert Johansson, a new athlete made it to the team. Anders Fannemel is a solid jumper with potential, but he was not able to show it last winter. The same applies also for Johann Forfang. Andreas Stjernen made constant progress and established himself in the Top 10 in the World Cup. Daniel Andre Tande was our best and it will be interesting to see how he can defend this position now", Alex Stoeckl explains on the website of the Norwegian Ski Association.

Maren Lundby is the only athlete on the ladies' World Cup team. But also Anniken Mork and Silje Opseth will get the chance to prove themselves in the competitions. "We want to as well prepared as possible for the Olympic Games. That's why Maren shall also jump with our best men. This means that we will have training camps together with the men's team. Anniken and Silje are closest to Maren performance wise. They will also get to participate in training camps and competitions", said head coach Christian Meyer.
