Paul Brasme takes French national title

Paul Brasme surprisingly won the title at the French Ski Jumping championships on Saturday.

The 19-year-old of the club US Ventron showed jumps of 111 m and 109 m on the HS 118 hill in Chaux Neuve and took the win with a total of 239.4 points.

The second place went to Vincent Descombes Sevoie, who jumped on 108 m and 110.5 m and scored 237.7 points. Nordic combined athlete Maxime Laheurte came in third with 101.5 m and 109 m and 221.8 points. He was followed by Jonathan Learoyd (220.9 points), Thomas Roch Dupland (220.4 points) and Laurent Muhlethaler (214.4 points).

Best jumper in this competition was Kilian Peier of Switzerland with 109.5 m and 110.5 m (241.9 points), his only  16-year-old teammate Olan Lacroix also finished among the best with his 226.1 points (106 m and 105.5 m).
