Robert Johansson is Norwegian champion
Aug 31, 2018·Ski JumpingRobert Johansson won the Norwegian national large hill championships on the famous Holmenkollen in Oslo on Wednesday evening.
The 27-year-old, who returned home from the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang with three medals, showed the best jumps in both rounds with 137 m and 135 m and took a clear win with 309.5 points. With this performance, Robert Johansson could finally get his first ever medal in national championships and he also won the traditional King's Cup.
The second place went to the Olympic silver medalist on the normal hill, Johann Andre Forfang, with 132 m and 127.5 m and a total of 286.4 points. Youngster Marius Lindivk confirmed his strong shape right now with the third place and jumps of 129 m and 129.5 m (285.7 points).
Joacim Oedegaard Bjoereng had the second-best jump of the final round with 132 m and surprised in fourth in this competition. Anders Fannemel fell back from third to fifth in the second round, Daniel Andre Tande came in sixth.
Andreas Stjernen, who won team gold in PyeongChang alongside Robert Johansson, Johann Andre Forfang and, Daniel Andre Tande, landed already at 96.5 m in the second round and finished only 16th.
