Roman Koudelka wins home event in Lomnice

Roman Koudelka was the best in a competition in Lomnice nad Popelkou (CZE) on Friday evening.

The 27-year-old local hero won the event on his home hill with 75 m and 79 m and a total of 263.3 points. Filip Sakala was the best athlete after the first half of the competition with his first jump of 77 m. With again 77 m in the final, he could then not keep up with Roman Koudelka and finished second with 259.8 points. The third place went to Lukas Hlava, who scored 223.1 points with 75 m and 74.5 m.

Behind Vojtech Stursa (fourth with 245.9 points) and Tomas Portyk (fifth with 236.4 points), Jan Matura (234.7 points) came in sixth. The 37-year-old, who started with Ski Jumping in Lomnice nad Popelkou in 1984 and will end his long career, made his final jumps on his home hill during this competition.

The ladies' competition was won by Stepanka Ptackova (65.5 m and 66 m; 199.8 points), followed by Karolina Indrackova (64 m and 64 m; 192.1 points) and Michaela Rajnochova (54 m and 56 m; 152.0 points).
