Seven ski jumpers named to Polish A-Team

As the Polish Ski Association (PZN) announced on Tuesday, seven athletes were named to the A-Team of head coach Stefan Horngacher.

4-Hills-Tournament winner Kamil Stoch, Maciej Kot, Piotr Zyla, Dawid Kubacki, Stefan Hula, Jakub Wolny are on the team of the Austrian coach, as well as surprisingly also Krzysztof Mietus. The 26-year-old was not participating in a World Cup competition last winter and he achieved his best result in the Continental Cup in December with a 33rd place in Vikersund (NOR).

Head coach Stefan Horngacher will prepare last winter's best team for the Olympic season together with his assistants Michal Dolezal, Grzegorz Sobczyk and Zbigniew Klimowski.

Jan Ziobro, a regular on last season's World Cup team, is on the B-Team of the coaches Radek Zidek, Marcin Bachleda and Robert Mateja together with Klemens Muranka, Aleksander Zniszczol, Krzysztof Biegun, Bartlomiej Klusek, Andrzej Stekala, Lukasz Bukowski, Stanislaw Biela and Przemyslaw Kantyka.

For the ladies, there will be two training groups. One consists of Kinga Rajda and Anna Twardosz, the other of Magdalena Palasz, Kamila Karpiel and Joanna Kil.

C-Team: Pawel Wasek, Bartosz Czyz, Tomasz Pilch, Kacper Juroszek, Karol Niemczyk, Damien Skupien
