Ski Jumping not possible due to strong wind in Lahti
Aug 31, 2018·Ski JumpingThe strong wind at the hills in Lahti (FIN) prevented the first men's official training on the normal hill at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships on Wednesday afternoon.
At the team captain's meeting in the morning it was decided to start a bit earlier, because the weather forecast predicted that the wind speeds would increase later today.
But it was also not possible to start the first training round at 1:30 pm CET. After a short delay the jury then decided to cancel the training session.
The next official training is scheduled for Thursday, 3:30 pm CET.
