Stefan Hula took a clear win in the Polish national championships on the large hill in Wisla on Tuesday afternoon.

The 31-year-old from Szczyrk, in 17th currently the fourth-best Polish jumper in the overall World Cup, celebrated his first ever Polish national title with jumps of 123.5 m and 126 m and a total of 254.3 points.

The second place went to Piotr Zyla, who scored 231.9 points with his jumps of 119 m and 120 m. Kamil Stoch shared the first place with Stefan Hula after the first round with a 126 m jump. With 111.5 m he could not keep up with his teammate in the final and so he came in third with 226.2 points.

Dawid Kubacki (108 m and 124 m; 219.3 points), Maciej Kot (115.5 m and 111 m; 206.4 points) and Jakub Wolny (107 m and 115 m; 197.8 points) followed on the places four to six.

So exactly those six jumpers, who were named to the Polish team for the first two events of the 4-Hills-Tournament in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen by head coach Stefan Horngacher, were the best athletes at the nationals today.

17-year-old Tomasz Pilch, who is the overall leader of the Continental Cup right now, will join the team in Innsbruck and make his debut in the World Cup there.
