Tomas Vancura Czech national champion

Tomas Vancura was the best in the Czech national Ski Jumping championships on the large hill in Liberec on Thursday.

The 21-year-old jumped on 125.5 m in the first round and then secured the title with an outstanding jump of 137.5 m and a total of 240.0 points on his home hill.

Viktor Polasek had a close lead over Vancura after the first round with 125 m, with 130 m in the final and 231.1 points he came in second overall.

Cestmir Kozisek jumped on 122 m and 133 m and finished third with his total of 229.6 points.

The fourth place went to Vojtech Stursa, followed by the two veterans Lukas Hlava and Jakub Janda in fifth and sixth.

Roman Koudelka did not take part in this competition due to a viral infection.

The Junior's title went to Frantisek Holik with 123.1 points (117 m and 121 m), followed by Petr Vaverka (102.5 m and 117.5 m; 84.2 points) and Dusan Dolezel (101.5 m and 115 m; 78.9 points).
