Local hero Jerneja Brecl also won the second competition of the Ladies' Continental Cup in Planica (SLO) on Sunday.

On the normal hill in the Slovenian Ski Jumping mecca, the 17-year-old posted jumps of 92 m and 94.5 m and claimed her second victory only a day after her maiden win with a total of 218.2 points. "There was less wind today but the conditions were the same for everyone. It was nice to jump but it would be better if there was a little more wind", said Jerneja Brecl.

Kamila Karpiel of Poland was in the lead after the first half of the competition with 94 m, with a jump on the same distance in the final she came in exactly one point behind Jerneja Brecl. "I’m happy about the result. I like this hill, we have a lot of training sessions here. I still need to improve on my telemark", she said after the competition.

Katra Komar of Slovenia, who was also on the podium yesterday in second, came in third with 91.5 m and 93.5 m and 217.0 points, the outstanding team result of the hosts was completed by Pia Mazi in fifth. "My jumps were better than yesterday but the others also showed a bit better performances today. I’m satisfied with the result. Now I have to prepare for the Junior World Championships", said Komar.

The fourth place went to Russia's Anna Shpyneva. Behind Stepanka Ptackova of the Czech Republic (6th), Austrian Sophie Sorschag, who was third in her very first COC competition on Saturday, finished seventh this time.

Alina Borodina of Russia (8th), Kinga Rajda of Poland (9th) and Russia's Mariia Iakovleva (10th) also achieved Top 10 results today.
