COC-M: Clemens Aigner also wins on day 2 in Sapporo

After his win on Friday, Clemens Aigner was also the best in the second competition of the Continental Cup weekend in Sapporo (JPN) on Saturday.
In the first round, the Austrian jumped on 126.5 m on the HS 137 Okurayama-hill and was only sixth, he could then claim his third win this season with his second jump of 133 m and a total of 249.4 points. "Today it was difficult because of the wind, it changed a lot. I'm very happy about the first place. I like this hill and I'm really enjoying myself here", said the 25-year-old.
The second place surprisingly went to Tomas Vancura of the Czech Republic, who achieved his best result in almost two years with jumps of 131 m and 135.5 m and 247.7 points. "It was a good day for me, because this was my first good result this season. I like this place, because of the nice hill and the good atmosphere", said Tomas Vancura.
Martin Hamann of Germany finished third with 132 m and 127 m and 246.6 points. "It was a good day for me, I felt very good. It's a lot of fun to jump in Sapporo, especially in these great conditions", told the German.
Like already on Friday, when he was ninth, Taku Takeuchi was once again the best of the Japanese, but on Saturday he was closer to the top in fourth. The longest jump of the day was shown by Slovenia's Andraz Pograjc with 138.5 m in the first round, that earned him the half-time lead ahead of Martin Hamann and his teammate Ziga Jelar. With 127 m in the final and 241.6 points, he came in fifth overall, followed by Ziga Jelar in sixth.
Yuken Iwasa of Japan was seventh, Robin Pedersen of Norway showed the best performance in the second round with 133 m and moved up from 20th to eighth. Austria's Ulrich Wohlgenannt was ninth, with Pius Paschke, Moritz Baer, and Felix Hoffmann, three Germans followed on the places 10 to 12.
Clemens Aigner now took the lead in the overall ranking of the COC with 413 points. The two Norwegians Marius Lindvik (365 points) and Robin Pedersen (357 points) are second and third.
The third and final competition in Sapporo starts on Sunday at 2 am CET (10 am LOC).
