COC-M: Marius Lindvik wins final event in Iron Mountain

In the third and final competition of the Continental Cup in Iron Mountain (USA), which started a bit earlier than originally planned on Sunday, Marius Lindvik took his seventh win in the COC.
The 20-year-old was fourth after the first round with 124.5 m, with a 133.5 m jump in the final and his total of 271.6 points he claimed the second win for the Norwegians this weekend after Thomas Aasen Markeng was the best on Saturday afternoon.
For Markus Schiffner, who was already on the podium in third in the second competition on Saturday, his first jump of 124.5 m was only enough for the tenth place, but the Austrian then posted the longest jump of the day in the final with 136 m and moved up to second, only 1.5 points behind the winner.
The third place went to only 17-year-old Slovene Zak Mogel, who jumped on 129 m and 132.5 m and stood on the podium for the second time this season with 267.3 points.
Moritz Baer was fourth and the best German athlete in the final event on the HS 133 hill on the Pine Mountain. After finishing third and first in the first two competitions on this hill, Thomas Aasen Markeng achieved yet another strong result in fifth. Baer's teammate Felix Hoffmann, second at half-time, came in sixth in the end.
Luca Egloff of Switzerland was seventh, which was his best COC-result since December 2017. Behind the best Pole, Aleksander Zniszczol, Jaka Hvala of Slovenia (9th) and Austria's Maximilian Lienher (10th) also landed among the best 10 today.
Robin Pedersen now leads the Continental Cup with 536 points close ahead of his teammate Marius Lindvik (531 points) and Clemens Aigner (513 points).
The next two competitions will take place in Oberstdorf (GER) next weekend.
