After his win in the first Continental Cup competition of the season, local hero Marius Lindvik also stood on top of the podium on Sunday in Lillehammer (NOR).

In sometimes difficult wind conditions, that lead to various changes of the inrun gate, the 20-year-old Norwegian posted jumps of 137 m and 140 m (the longest jump of the day) and scored a total of 280.2 points. With his wins number five and six in the COC this season couldn't have started any better for Marius Lindvik. "It's a perfect start of the season. Today it was a bit more difficult than yesterday because the wind was really strong and we had to wait a long time, especially in the second round", said this weekend's best ski jumper.

With 137.5 m, Germany's Constantin Schmid was in the lead after the first round. In the second round, the 19-year-old of the club WSV Oberaudorf then jumped on 137 m and was not able to defend his lead over Lindvik. After closely missing the podium in fourth on Saturday, he finished second with 275.1 points.

Markus Schiffner came in third with his jumps of 125.5 m and 136 m and 259.1 points and secured the first podium finish for Austria in this COC-season.

The fourth place went to Poland's Aleksander Zniszczol, who could have achieved even more today. He showed a great jump of 139 m in the first round, but he fell and lost a lot of points. Kevin Bickner of the USA, who missed the final round of the Top 30 on Saturday, could improve significantly and came in on a very good fifth place. Bickner's Canadian training mate Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes followed in sixth.

Like on Saturday, Rok Justin was again the best of the Slovenes, this time in seventh. Eetu Nousiainen achieved a good result for Finnland in eighth, the Top 10 were completed by Austrian Thomas Hofer (9th) and the two Germans Moritz Baer and Andreas Wank, who tied for tenth, close ahead of their teammate Pius Paschke.

After the first weekend of the season, Marius Lindvik leads the overall ranking of the COC with the maximum of 200 points, ahead of Constantin Schmid (130 points) and Felix Hoffmann (98 points).

The next two competitions will be held next weekend (December 15th and 16th) in Ruka (FIN).
