Juliane Seyfarth of Germany keeps on winning in Russia. The 29-year-old also won the third competition of the Blue Bird Tour. With jumps of 95 m and 97 m she came in ahead of her teammate Katharina Althaus and Japan's Sara Takanashi.

Seyfarth has already won the first two competitions of the Blue Bird Tour in Nizhny Tagil, now she claimed her third win in a row and defended her lead in the first edition of the Blue Bird Tour.

"I am very happy about my third victory here in Russia. I made small mistakes in my jumps but luckily that did not disturb my jumps. I am really looking forward to tomorrow’s competition on the big hill", the winner said after the competition.

Katharina Althaus was in the lead after the first round, but her teammate showed a better jump in the final round. "I am happy to once again share the podium with one of my teammates. Our team seems to be so strong now. I am really excited about the last competition of the season on the big hill tomorrow. I hope we will all have good fun", said Althaus.

Sara Takanashi finished third: "I am very happy to be on the podium again. It was a long day due to the delay but I just tried to stay focused and concentrate on my jumps. As for tomorrow's competition, I will just try to enjoy it as much as possible and have fun."

Maren Lundby probably lost her chances to win the Blue Bird Tour. She came in seventh today and lost about 17.5 points compared to Seyfarth. Juliane Seyfarth now has a lead of 33.8 points over Maren Lundby in this competition series consisting of four events in Russia. This is a gap that the World and Olympic champion from Norway will probably not be able to close, even on the large hill, especially now that Seyfarth is in amazing shape.

The Austrians achieved a strong team result with Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, Chiara Hoelzl and Eva Pinkelnig in fourth, fifth and ninth. A top result for the team of Harald Rodlauer and Norbs Moertel.

The competition should have started at 2 pm, but due to the strong wind, it was postponed to 6 pm.

The final competition of the ladies will be held on Sunday at 10 am CET with the Top 30 on the large hill.
