At the Forum Nordicum, the annual meeting of nordic sports journalists, the "Nordic Ski Kings" for the 2017/18 season were awarded earlier this week.

This year in Seefeld, the host city of the 2019 FIS Nordic Ski World Championships, ski jumper Kamil Stoch of Poland and Swiss cross country Olympic champion Dario Cologna received the awards for their performances last winter.

Kamil Stoch was the outstanding ski jumping in the past winter season. In 2017/18, the 31-year-old took a total of 10 individual wins in the World Cup and claimed the overall World Cup title as well as the overall titles of the 4-Hills-Tournament and the RAW AIR Tour.

With his win in the individual competition on the large hill in PyeongChang, he took already his third Olympic gold, after winning twice in Sochi four years ago.
