I managed to cope with the pressure and all the traveling. It’s a victory I’ll never forget. I love the Raw Air. My next target is to win the Bluebird tournament in Russia", said Lundby, who received the highest prize money ever in ladies' Ski Jumping with € 35 000,-.
Juliane Seyfarth top again
Juliane Seyfarth posted the longest jump of the day in the second round with 137.5 m (hill record) and achieved an impressive second place, with which the 29-year-old could move up from fourth to third in the overall ranking of the Raw Air. "It was a great feeling, I'm really happy about my jump. And that I could finish third in the overall ranking is also amazing", said Seyfarth.
The surprise of the first Raw Air was Eva Pinkelnig of Austria. The 30-year-old got better and better during the course of the Tournament and showed very strong performances with third places in Lillehammer and Trondheim. In the overall ranking of the Raw Air, Pinkelnig finished fifth, right behind her teammate Daniela Iraschko-Stolz. It will now be interesting to see Pinkelnig compete in the final four events of the season in Russia.
"I'm totally relaxed right now and it's so much fun. The large hills suit me and I'm simply enjoying it. Now I'm looking forward to the next competitions in Nizhny Tagil and then I want to end the season on a high note in Chaikovsky. If it continues that well, I can live with that", said Pinkelnig.
The upcoming Bluebird Tour, consisting of the competitions in Nizhny Tagil (this weekend) and Chaikovsky (the following weekend), will be the exciting final of this season for the world's best female ski jumpers.
The teams will already start the trip from Trondheim to Russia at 9 am tomorrow. The Bluebird Tour begins with the training and qualification on Friday.
