Qualification win in Premanon for Katharina Althaus

After the cancellation of competition in Titisee-Neustadt (GER) last week, the Ladies World Cup resumed in Premanon (FRA). German Katharina Althaus won qualification for the first ever Ladies World Cup event held today on the newly refurbished Les Tuffles HS 90 hill.
With a jump of 89 metres (129.8 points) the German beat Slovene Ema Klinec, who posted the longest jump of the day (91.5 metres). The third place went to reigning Olympic champion Maren Lundby from Norway (85 metres).
After a jump of 87 metres, Japanese superstar Sara Takanashi was fourth today. The fifth place went to the winner of the second competition in Lillehammer, Russian Lidiia Iakovleva. The best of the Austrians was Daniela Iraschko-Stolz in sixth. The second German in the top ten was Juliane Seyfarth in seventh. The top ten were completed by the second Slovene, Ursa Bogataj in eighth, the best of the host nation Lucile Morat in ninth and the second Japanese Yuki Ito.
Apart from Morat, three other French jumpers qualified for tomorrow’s competition - Lea Lemare was nineteenth, Julia Claire twenty-fifth, and Josephine Pagnier fortieth.
The first of the two competitions planned for the weekend in France will be held on Saturday at 11:00 CET.
