Juliane Seyfarth of Germany won the first FIS Ladies' World Cup this weekend in Nizhny Tagil (RUS) on Saturday evening. On the HS 97 hill, Seyfarth posted jumps of 93.5 m and 100 m. With her total of 252.6 points, Seyfarth came in 7.1 points ahead of second-placed Norwegian Maren Lundby and Anna Odine Stroem (NOR).

Seyfarth took her second World Cup win on the perfectly prepared hill in Nizhny Tagil. The first time she stood on top of the podium was last November in Lillehammer. "I am very happy about another victory this winter. I hope I can continue this way here in Russia. It is great to have yet another tour for the ladies after the Raw Air, so I would like to thank the Russian organizers", said Seyfarth.

With her second place today, Maren Lundby claimed the overall World Cup title of the 2018/19 season already before the final three competitions of the winter. "I am really happy about yet another podium this season and I am also happy for Anna, two Norwegians on the podium, that’s great. Let’s see what the Blue Bird Tour will bring, I am really looking forward to that. I am really excited about the new series, it adds some extra excitement to the final competitions of this season", explained Lundby.

For 20-year-old Anna Odine Stroem, this third place is her second podium in the World Cup. "I am very happy about the second podium this winter, it was way ahead of my expectations. It was great fun to jump today, nice hill, the conditions were changing a bit, but luckily I did not experience any of that in my jumps. I am pretty tired after the intense Raw Air tournament", said Stroem, who was already on the podium together with Maren Lundby in Zao in January.

Katharina Althaus came in fourth, followed by Austria's Eva Pinkelnig. Lara Malsiner finished on the very good sixth place, Chiara Hoelzl was seventh, Daniela Iraschko-Stolz is not competing in Russia.

Juliane Seyfarth now also leads the overall ranking of the first edition of the Blue Bird Tour ahead of Maren Lundby and Anna Odine Stroem.
