Tande and Stjernen won't compete in Willingen

After their falls last weekend in Lahti (FIN), Daniel Andre Tande and Andreas Stjernen will not take part in the next World Cup in Willingen (GER) this week.

"Neither Stjernen nor Tande are seriously injured, but both need a bit more time now to train. That's why we decided that they will compete in Willingen. The most important thing now is to take it slow and let them rest a bit", head coach Alexander Stoeckl is quoted on the website of the Norwegian Ski Association.

This short break does not mean, that Daniel Andre Tande and Andreas Stjernen will also miss the upcoming World Championships in Seefeld (AUT). The Norwegian team will be officially announced on Monday. "We want to see the progress of Tande and Stjernen this weekend and the performances of those jumping in Willingen. It's too early to speculate about who will be on the team right now", said Alexander Stoeckl.

Debut for Markeng
The Norwegian team for Willingen consists of Johann Andre Forfang, Halvor Egner Granerud, Robert Johansson, Anders Fannemel, Marius Lindvik and Thomas Aasen Markeng, who will make his debut in the World Cup. "This is very exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing where I stand compared to the best. It's great to travel with the big guys. I hope I can continue jumping on the same level I did recently", said the 18-year-old Junior World Champion.
