USA Nordic announced the US team for the upcoming Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld on Wednesday.

The United States will be represented by a total of eight athletes in the Ski Jumping events of the championships starting about two weeks from now.

The men's team will be lead by Kevin Bickner, who is the only American who could score World Cup points so far this season. His best result this winter is the 18th place in Nizhny Tagil (RUS) in December.

At age 22, Kevin Bickner is the most experienced athlete on the team. Besides him, Casey Larson, Andrew Urlaub, and Patrick Gasienica will compete in the events in Innsbruck and Seefeld. The only 17-year-old Andrew Urlaub and Patrick Gasienica don't have any World Cup experience yet. “He is getting closer to the best jumpers in the world his age,” coach Jan Druzina says about Andrew Urlaub. “The main goal for the young guys is to perform well in their first big event of their lives and to learn from the best in the world", the Slovene added.

The ladies' team will consist of Nita Englund, Tara Geraghty-Moats, Nina Lussi and Logan Sankey.
