After the competitions in Rasnov, Romania the men’s World Cup season is still in full swing. The ski jumpers are now headed to Finland’s Lahti and a few days later we will see who will lift the large crystal globe after the final event of a tough Raw Air Tournament.

But after the competitions in Norway, the athletes and fans will have just a few moments to take a deep breath and prepare for the final highlight of the winter season – the FIS Ski Flying World Championships in Planica, which will take place from 19th to 22nd of March.

The preparations for the event, which will be attended by tens of thousands of spectators from all over the world, are going according to plan, the advance ticket sales are even better than expected. The stands are already sold out for Saturday, while there are some tickets left for the other days on the various spectators' stands. As the competition is getting closer it is expected that the other areas will. The pre-sale ends on Sunday, March 1st.

Visitors that are headed to Planica by car are strongly encouraged to leave their vehicles in Kranjska Gora and the surrounding area and then use the free bus transport. This is the quickest way to reach the valley.

An intense fight for the World Championship medals – a lifetime goal of every athlete – first in the two-day individual event and then in the team competition, can be expected. But there will not only be some special moments at the hill but also at the Medal Plaza in Kranjska Gora, where the opening and the medal ceremony will be held.
