With Marita Kramer winning already the gold medal last Thursday in the Ski Jumping individual competition, Austria dominated again on Saturday afternoon the team competition at the FIS Nordic Junior World Championships in Oberwiesenthal (GER). Slovenia finished second and Germany third.

Lisa Eder, Vanessa Moharitsch, Julia Muehlbacher completed Marita Kramer’s team who was the best athlete in this competition, leading her team to the win with 800.7 points on the HS105 Hill. "Our team was in a very good shape today. We had a great atmosphere and the girls rocked it. We are very happy about the first place and will enjoy this feeling now" said Marita Kramer.

The young Slovenians with Jerneja Brecl, Lara Logar, Jerneja Zupancic Repinc and Katra Komar finished second with 740.5 points. Katra, the best athlete in the team with 218.3 points mentioned that they improved from yesterday, so they were very satisfied with the result today.

The third place went to Germany

Scoring 708.5 points, Michelle Goebel, Josephin Laue, Pia Lilian Kuebler and Selina Freitag finished third with a difference of more than 30 points behind the second-placed Slovenian team. Josephin was very surprised as her first jump was not as good as in the trial round, but in the second round she was able to give her best. She was then fully enjoying the third place and her team medal.

Russia finished fourth before Norway and Japan finished eighth.

The last competition in Oberwiesenthal (GER), a mixed team event, starts on Sunday at 3 pm CET
