After his second place in the first event on Saturday, Klemens Muranka won the second competition of the Continental Cup in Sapporo (JPN) on Sunday.

On the HS 137 Okurayama hill, the Pole posted jumps of 138 m and 133 m and secured his first win this winter with 225.3 points. This was already the 12th win of his career in the Continental Cup for the 25-year-old. "It was a very good competition. This weekend was a very good one for me. I’m really happy", said Klemens Muranka.

Norway's Anders Haare narrowly missed the podium in fourth on Saturday, today his consistent jumps of 133 m and 133.5 m and a total of 222.0 points earned him the second place. "Today’s competition was really good, I made a lot of progress from yesterday and the wind was really good", told the Norwegian.

Hiroaki Watanabe had already achieved the best result of his career with the fifth place yesterday and today he could further improve this performance. The 28-year-old Japanese finished third with 133 m and 138.5 m and 215.8 points and stood on the podium in a COC for the first time. Watanabe said after the competition: "I am satisfied with my results as my goal today was to be on the podium. I am happy that I had some luck with the wind and could make long jumps."

Best German was again Martin Hamann in fourth. Slovenia's Anze Semenic improved his result significantly in the final today: He was 17th after the first round and with an outstanding second jump of 145.5 m he could move up to fifth overall. The winner of Saturday's competition, Clemens Leitner, was sixth and the best of the Austrian team. Ziga Jelar of Slovenia came in seventh, followed by local hero Taku Takeuchi.

Ulrich Wohlgenannt of Austria (9th) and Poland's Pawel Wasek (10th) ended the weekend in Sapporo with a Top 10 result as well. Veteran Noriaki Kasai closely missed that on both days. The 47-year-old was 12th today, on Saturday he finished 14th.

Clemens Leitner leads the overall ranking of the Continental Cup now with 625 points, followed by Taku Takeuchi (506 points) and Clemens Aigner (414 points).
