Robin Pedersen of Norway won the second competition of the Continental Cup in Klingenthal on Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old, who was already among the best in third on Saturday, posted the longest jump of the day of 139.5 m in the first round and defended his lead with 125.5 m in the final and 247.1 points. It was his third win in the COC for Robin Pedersen, the first this season.  "I'm very happy about this win. My jumps were good. It was a really good weekend for me. The conditions were great and the hill was very well prepared", said the Norwegian.

Clemens Aigner of Austria narrowly missed the podium in fourth yesterday, today he claimed the second place with 126.5 m and the best jump in the second round of 136.5 m and a total of 243.1 points.
The third place went to Aigner's teammate Stefan Huber. After his clear win in the first competition in the Vogtland-Arena he jumped on 134 m and 128 m today and scored 241.4 points.
With these performances, Aigner and Huber were the best two jumpers of a once again very strong Austrian team. Clemens Leitner (5th) and Markus Schiffner (6th) were the two other Austrians among the best today.

For Noriaki Kasai, who failed to make the cut for the second round twice last weekend in Bischofshofen and on Saturday in Klingenthal, it went a lot better today than in the recent competitions, even if the Japanese veteran could still have achieved more today. After the first round, the 47-year-old was fourth, he then lost some ground in the final finished seventh.

Young Swiss Dominik Peter did really well on Saturday with the 12th place already and he could further improve this result today in eighth. Sondre Ringen of Norway came in ninth, the tenth place went to Germany's Adrian Sell, who finished in the Top 10 for the first time since December 2015.

Clemens Leitner could extend his lead in the overall ranking of the Continental Cup with today's result. With 485 points he leads ahead of Taku Takeuchi (414 points) and Stefan Huber (362 points).

The jumpers now travel to Japan, where two competitions will be held in Sapporo next weekend.
