After his two podium finishes last weekend in Bischofshofen, Stefan Huber now came out on top in the first competition of the Continental Cup weekend in Klingenthal (GER).

The 25-year-old Austrian was already in the lead after the first round in the Vogtland-Arena with 136 m, in the final he then posted the by far longest jump with 142 m and claimed a more than clear win with his 289.2 points. This is his fifth COC win, the first since last March in Zakopane.  "I'm extremely happy. I could implement everything that I wanted to. My jumps were really good, especially the second one", said Stefan Huber.

Slovenia's Ziga Jelar, with 133 m sixth after the first half of the competition, moved up to second overall with a 136 m jump in the second round and achieved his first podium finish of the season with a total of 269.1 points.

Robin Pedersen of Norway is competing in the Continental Cup for the first time this season in Klingenthal and came in third right away with two consistently good jumps of 134 m and 134.5 m that earned him 265.1 points.

Together with today's winner Stefan Huber, Clemens Aigner in fourth, Clemens Leitner in sixth and Ulrich Wohlgenannt in eighth secured yet another very strong result for the Austrian team this winter.

Andrzej Stekala was the Pole of the day in fifth, with Anze Semenic in seventh another Slovenia athlete, next to second-placed Ziga Jelar, was among the best today. The Top 10 were completed by Taku Takeuchi of Japan (9th) and Sander Vossan Eriksen of Norway (10th).

Clemens Leitner remains in the lead in the overall ranking of the Continental Cup with 440 points. He is followed by Taku Takeuchi (400 points) and Stefan Huber (302 points).
