COC-M: Taku Takeuchi the best again

Taku Takeuchi of Japan won both competitions of the men's Continental Cup in Stams (AUT) this weekend.

After the 32-year-old took his first-ever COC-win on Saturday, he confirmed his currently strong shape on Sunday and also won on day 2 on the Brunnental-hill with jumps of 110 m and 115 m and 254.6 points.

Klemens Muranka of Poland, 13th on Saturday, posted jumps of 109 m and 113 m on Sunday and came in second with a total of 248.5 points. Like Taku Takeuchi, Germany's Pius Paschke also stood on the podium on both days of the weekend in Tyrol. The second-placed athlete on Saturday finished third today with 108.5 m and 111 m and 241.3 points.

Rok Justin of Slovenia was fourth, Killian Peier of Switzerland fifth. Behind those two, Stefan Hula and Aleksander Zniszczol provided a very good team result for Poland in sixth and seventh.

Japan's Kenshiro Ito tied for seventh with Zniszczol, best Austrian was Clemens Leitner in ninth. The Top 10 were completed by Norway's Fredrik Villumstad.

Before the final two COC competitions this summer on September 28th and 29th in Klingenthal (GER), Rok Justin remains in the lead of the overall ranking with 599 points. He is followed by Klemens Muranka (564 points) and Pius Paschke (466 points).
