On the second day of the Continental Cup in Ruka (FIN) the same three athletes, Taku Takeuchi, Keiichi Sato, and Clemens Leitner, stood on the podium, who were already the best in the first competition on the Rukatunturi. Only the order changed on Sunday.

After his second place yesterday, the win today went to Japanese Taku Takeuchi, who posted the longest jumps in both rounds with 143.5 m and claimed his fourth win in the COC, the second this winter, with a total of 293.7 points.

Clemens Leitner of Austria also moved up one place compared to the first competition and finished second with 136.5 m and 135 m and 280.3 points. For the 21-year-old Tyrolean this is the best result of his career.

Japan's Keiichi Sato, who won ahead of Takeuchi and Leitner on Saturday and was also in the lead after the first round today, came in third overall, only 0.2 points behind the Austrian, with 141 m and 130.5 m

Already clearly behind the best three jumpers of the day, Andreas Granerud Buskum of Norway came in fourth. Best German was once again Martin Hamann, who repeated his fifth place from the day before. Behind Slovenia's Bor Pavlovcic, who moved up from 14th to sixth in the final round, Hamann's teammate Philipp Raimund was seventh. He could move up from 15th in the second round.

Sondre Ringen of Norway was eighth, followed by his teammates Halvor Egner Granerud, who was 19th after round 1, and Anders Haare.

Taku Takeuchi, who has always finished in the Top 5 so far this winter, leads the overall ranking with his 325 points ahead of Keiichi Sato (276 points) and Clemens Leitner (220 points).

The Continental Cup continues on December 27th and 28th with two competitions in Engelberg (SUI).
