COC-W: Ema Klinec wins season final

Ema Klinec of Slovenia took the win in the final competition of the women's Continental Cup this summer on Sunday in Stams (AUT).

The 21-year-old claimed her fifth win in the COC, the first in a bit more than four years, with jumps of 109.5 m and 107.5 m and a total of 242.7 points.

Only 0.5 points behind the winner, Austria's Marita Kramer was able to repeat her second place from yesterday with the longest jump in both rounds of 110 m. Slovenia's Ursa Bogataj also achieved the same result twice this weekend. On Sunday, she jumped on 108.5 m and 107 m and came in third again with 236.9 points.

The winner of Saturday's competition, Eva Pinkelnig of Austria, was in the lead ahead of Bogataj and Kramer after the first round, but in the end she missed the podium today and finished fourth.

Josephine Pagnier of France was among the best again in fifth, followed by Lara Malsiner of Italy (6th) and the third Slovene in today's Top 10, Spela Rogelj (7th). Daniela Iraschko-Stolz of Austria came in eighth in her first competition this season, the ninth place went to US American Sarah Hendrickson, Manuela Malsiner of Italy was tenth.

With two wins and two second places this summer, Marita Kramer took the overall title of the COC with 360 points, Gyda Westvold Hansen (222 points) and Karolina Indrackova (194 points) finish second and third.
