German ski jumpers voted "Team of the Year"

A huge honor for the German Ski Jumping team: The team World Champions from the 2019 WSC in Innsbruck were voted the "Team of the Year 2019" by the German sports journalists.
Markus Eisenbichler, Karl Geiger, Stephan Leyhe, Richard Freitag, and their former head coach Werner Schuster received the prestigious award during a gala event on Sunday evening in Baden-Baden.
Markus Eisenbichler, who not only claimed team gold at the Nordic World Championships last winter but also won the individual title on the large hill, was also third in the vote for "Athlete of the Year", behind decathlon World Champion Niklas Kaul and triathlete Jan Frodeno.
